Veterinary Radiology & Diagnostic Imaging

Advanced Diagnostics. Compassionate Care. Informed Decisions.

At Wintermere Pointe Animal Hospital, we offer a range of diagnostic imaging services, including digital X-rays, dental radiography, ultrasound, and access to veterinary radiologist consultations when additional expertise is needed.

Our advanced diagnostic technology helps our veterinarians evaluate medical concerns and make informed decisions about your pet’s health.

Digital X-Rays

Digital radiography allows our veterinarians to capture detailed images of your pet’s bones, joints, and internal structures.

X-rays can help evaluate:

  • Fractures and bone abnormalities
  • Joint and mobility concerns
  • Heart and lung conditions
  • Abdominal abnormalities
  • Certain swallowed foreign objects

Digital imaging allows our veterinary team to review images electronically and determine whether additional testing or treatment may be necessary.

Dental X-Rays

Not all dental problems are visible during a routine oral examination. Dental X-rays allow our veterinarians to evaluate tooth roots and surrounding bone beneath the gumline.

Dental radiography can help identify:

  • Tooth root infections
  • Bone loss associated with periodontal disease
  • Fractured or damaged teeth
  • Other hidden dental abnormalities

These images help our team make informed recommendations for your pet’s dental health.

Veterinary Ultrasound

Ultrasound is a noninvasive imaging technique that uses sound waves to create real-time images of internal organs and soft tissues.

Ultrasound may help evaluate:

  • The liver, kidneys, spleen, and bladder
  • The stomach and other abdominal organs
  • Abdominal masses or abnormalities
  • Fluid accumulation

Ultrasound findings, combined with physical examinations and other diagnostic testing, help guide individualized patient care.

Veterinary Radiologist Consultations

When additional expertise is needed, our veterinarians can electronically submit digital radiographs to a veterinary radiologist for professional interpretation and consultation.

This additional expert perspective helps our team evaluate complex cases and make informed recommendations for further testing or treatment.
